Design is a collaborative process...
yet a highly personal one. As a designer, I'm a practitioner devoted to craft
and aesthetics, to usability and functionality. I try to fuse the best practices of research, writing, visual principles and economics to solve the communication
problems faced by every organization in this information age.
In today's design-savvy market 'good design'
has taken on an increasingly importnat roll for organizations trying to break through the noise.
Design is subjected to intense scrutiny, under which creativity
is often the first casualty. Creativity becomes even more ilusive when
an array of personalities become involved in the process, requiring great
finesse on the part of the designer to produce meaningful and enduring work.
I enjoy incorporating the talents and
expertise of the myriad personalities into the design process, and look for a way to create work that functions and stands out as fresh and unique.
Result trumps intention...
Good work will always be about inspiration, foresight, experience and emotion;
it will always be the result of a designer's commitment to those aesthetic
principles, whether it involves three people or ten. My commitment to these
principles is inherent in my personality, and hopefully is evident in my work.
That's a lot of words.
Don't worry, I'm actually fun to work with.
